Introducing Onwards & Upwards,
our new Charity Partner.

We are incredibly proud to introduce our charity partner for 2025—Onwards and Upwards.

As part of this exciting new collaboration, we’re supporting a charity that is making a real difference by breaking the cycle of reoffending in the criminal justice system. Through innovative training programmes and sustainable employment opportunities, Onwards and Upwards is transforming lives for good.

Who Are Onwards and Upwards?

Onwards and Upwards are a forward-thinking charity focused on one clear mission: to reduce reoffending by creating jobs that empower individuals and change their futures. By providing access to valuable skills and meaningful employment, they help people break away from a life of crime and build a positive, long-term path forward.

Their first groundbreaking initiative is XO Bikes, a six-week training programme for individuals, where participants are taught to become qualified bike mechanics. Upon completion, graduates receive ongoing job search support, further training opportunities, and pastoral care, helping them integrate back into society with the confidence and skills they need to succeed.

But that’s just the beginning. Keep an eye out for XO Barbers, an exciting new venture set to open in Shoreditch, summer 2025, which will offer training in barbering and provide even more opportunities for individuals to build a sustainable career.

Why This Partnership Matters

At UK Challenge, we believe in the power of teamwork and resilience—values that are perfectly aligned with the mission of Onwards and Upwards. Their tireless work not only helps reduce reoffending but also strengthens communities by giving individuals a second chance.

Through this partnership, we hope to shine a spotlight on the incredible work being done by Onwards and Upwards and provide opportunities for our teams and participants to get involved in this inspiring cause.

A Shared Vision for Positive Change

This collaboration is about more than just raising awareness. We’re committed to making a tangible impact. During the 2025 UK Challenge event, we’ll be working closely with Onwards and Upwards to raise funds, promote their work, and give participants the chance to learn more about the important role employment plays in breaking the cycle of reoffending.

Together, we can help bring employment rates up and reoffending rates down—creating lasting, positive change in the lives of many.

Stay tuned for more updates on how you can get involved and support this fantastic initiative!
